You have a boy!

Now there is a boy in your family and you are happy. My congratulations!

Many peoples consider the birth of a boy to be good fortune. They say that there will be a descendant and successor in the family. However continuation of generation can be under threat if one doesn't pay proper attention to it.

Dear parents, if you have a boy, you should remember that a cause of future male sterility could be anomalies in development of male genitals at a very early age.
When you are back from hospital, examine your baby carefully.

Both testicles should be in scrotum, the balanus is practically covered in 90% of cases. The outer opening of the urethra should be at the top of the penis.

Boys under three years old may have the so-called physiological phimosis (constriction of prepuce due to which it is impossible to open the balanus). It is considered to be a variant of norm.

If the prepuce can't be removed and the balanus doesn't appear, there might be synechia of balanus.

When a baby is anxious or crying (i.e. there is tension of the front abdominal wall) tumor-like formations or outpouching in groin, scrotum or umbilicus shouldn't appear. If such formations appear, there might be inguinal, inguinoscrotal or umbilical hernia.
