- Constriction of prepuce is defined, and it is impossible to uncover a balanus due to formation of scar phimosis.
- Sometimes children can feel pain or discomfort during urination. Under urine pressure a "ball" bulges at the end of a balanus. Sometimes it is difficult for a child to urinate, and he has to make an effort. At that urine is oozing in a thin stream.
- Hypertrophic phimosis. This disease is characterized by excess prepuce, its thickening and loss of elasticity. All this makes full excretion of balanus difficult.
- At phimosis balanitis often appears.
- If the opening of prepuce is too narrow there can appear entrapment of balanus. And this is called paraphimosis.
- Phimosis makes urination difficult. As a result of this pressure increases in urinary tracts. And this in its turn can lead to serious diseases, such as pyelonephritis and hydronephrosis.
- Constant straining effort increases pressure in abdominal cavity too, and this can provoke appearance of hernia or rectal prolapse.
